In Leinonen's Master's Thesis (2000) one of the respondents (born in Carelian Isthmus) says that she usually nalbinds with Finnish Stitch 2+2, but sometimes, when she uses thin yarn, she takes three or four loops onto the thumb, that would be FS 3+2, and FS 4+2.
