In Finland this stitch type (RS 1+2+2) has been used at least in Nurmes (NBA ethnology collection, label 9614:14), in Paltamo (9616:16, 1+2+2 F1), in Polvijärvi (9616:11, 1+2+2 F2) and in Kitee (label "63", 'puolivenättä' ie 'half Russian'; in Kitee 'kokovenättä' ie 'full Russian' was the RS 2+2+2).
